  4. A Non-Western Course is required for Art Education.  See your counselor for a list of these courses.
  5. If two years of one foreign language are completed during high school with grades of C or better, students are exempt from the foreign language requirement at the college level.  Art History majors are not exempt.  Additional elective course work may be needed to complete the 60-hour requirement for the degree if students are exempt from the foreign language requirement.
  6. DACC does not offer four courses that are required for EIU's unique art programs (ART 2500--Health and Safety in the Visual Arts, ART 2910--Intro to Graphic Design, ART 2920--Graphic Abstractions, ART 2560--Printmaking).  In addition, EIU's unusual requirement of establishing an EIU GPA prior to taking junior-level art courses will result in 3 years of study at EIU (5 years total college).
