Transfer Admission Requirements

  1. All courses must be completed with a "C" or better.
  2. Courses in bold type must be completed before acceptance into the College of Nursing.
  3. The minimum ACT is now 25 and the ISU student also has to be in the top quarter of their high school class or have a GPA of 2.0 (4 pt. scale). If the student has college credits and fewer than 30 hours, ACT of 25 and 2.0 GPA are required.
  4. For ISU students with more than 30 hours they need a minimum GPA of 2.25 (as of now). GPA is cumulative of every college course taken.
  5. There is no early admission for transfer students.  It is for high school graduates only.
  6. For general admission into the Nursing program, applications are received for consideration between September 1 through January 2 (Example: If you are applying for fall 2006, all of your information must be in by January 2, 2006). The minimum GPA to apply to Mennonite is 3.0, and does not guarantee admission into the college.
NOTES
  1. Choose either HUMN 110 Japanese Culture, HUMN 102 Chinese Humanities, HIST 121 Latin American History I, HIST 122 Latin American History II, HIST 141 Early Asian History, or HIST 142 Modern Asian History.
  2. ISU has initiated new graduation requirements effective Fall, 1999 for first-time or readmitted students.  They now require two additional classes that are in addition to general education requirements.  The DACC classes that can be used to fulfill these requirements are POLI 160, GEOG 134, or ANTH 107 for all majors, and: for this major.  If none of these classes are desired by the student, a general elective may be taken at DACC to achieve 60 hours and the A.S.A. degree, and the two additional classes may be taken at ISU, where there are more choices from which to select.
