NOTES:

1. For the best advisement possible walk-ins are assigned to major-specific advisors. This may mean students who arrive later than you might get in sooner, because their advisor comes available more quickly.
2. All advisors are on walk-ins daily throughout the summer, but meetings, projects , vacation time off, and other circumstances can result in an advisor not being available. If your advisor is not available, other advisors can assist. If you want to meet with a specific advisor, we recommend that you call ahead to 443-8750 to determine your preferred advisor’s walk-in availability.
3. If we start having lengthy wait times, we move to a first come/first served basis to keep things moving, but students always have the option of working with their major-specific advisor. Just make the request when you sign in at the front desk.
4. We are frequently asked what time is the best to come. We recommend coming earlier in the day, avoiding 11:30-1 (when we stagger our lunch hours), and being aware that if we fill all afternoon openings, we do stop taking walk-ins earlier than the recommended last arrival time.
5. PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR WAITING TIME! We do our best to inform you when you sign in about the anticipated length of your wait, if there is one. We plan 30-45 minutes per appointment and calculate accordingly, but some appointments go more quickly than others, and some go longer. We appreciate your patience as we give each and every DACC student the individual attention and thorough academic advisement that he/she deserves.
6. COME IN TO SEE US BEFORE OCTOBER 31 to find out if you are eligible to register yourself online for Spring 2013! Meet with your advisor, make an academic plan, and leave here with permission and instructions on how to register online. It’s easy! And it saves you having to return to a busy office when we start winter/spring registration at the end of October.
