Upon completion of the program, a DACC Certificate in Fire Science Technology
Specialist will be granted. If a student meets eligibility requirements
and successfully passes the Illinois State Fire Marshal's exam, Fire Fighter
II and Fire Officer I certification will be granted.
BEIO 300 - EMT Basic - prerequisite for admission into the program.

+Eligibility for Illinois State Fire Marshal Certification: Student must be 18 years old before the day of final exam and an active member of a fire department, whether on paid or volunteer status.
Credit will be granted to students holding Illinois State Fire Marshal
certificates issued from the latest version of the test.
