Turn assignments in on time. If you need to turn an assignment in late, contact the instructor beforehand. Failure to meet deadlines means you will be dropped from the course.

Start the homework assignments early. You have about 2 weeks to complete them for a reason. They cannot be done quickly.

Read through the entire homework assignment before you start and note what questions are worth the most points. If you do get pressed for time, make sure you give the most time to these questions.

Answer all the parts of all the questions. Read all the instructions for a question before you start to answer it. Read them again and mark the different things that you have to do and turn in. Most people who lose points do so because they fail to answer parts of questions. No answer: no points.

Read the keyed web pages before you try to answer the questions. These are tied specifically to questions for a reason. Read them before you ask for help. I and the other librarians will assume that you have.

Ask questions when you don’t understand something! Don’t guess!
